Yes. Since there are no binding contracts, you can pause or discontinue sessions at any time. We believe our quality of service is what keeps parents coming back, not a legal obligation.

Do you offer specific programs for high school and middle school organization and study skills?

Yes. Our HomeworkCoach Executive Functioning and Study Skills program is specifically designed for middle- and high school students. We focus on time management, note-taking strategies, and organization techniques to help students manage heavy workloads. This is especially suited to students with ADHD.

How do you help high schoolers with “test anxiety”?

Our tutors provide subject-specific mastery combined with test-taking strategies. By building a student’s confidence and teaching them how to approach complex exam formats, we significantly reduce academic anxiety.

Can a tutor help my student manage their digital assignments and portals (like Canvas or Google Classroom)?

Absolutely. A major part of our study skills tutoring involves helping students organize their digital workspace, track deadlines on school portals, and ensure no assignments fall through the cracks.

How does your Tutoring Service Work?

Simple! Call us or fill out our contact form. We’ll find out what subject your child needs, grade level, and when you need the tutor. We’ll contact the best tutor we have that meets your requirements. You’ll talk to them on the phone and if all looks good, schedule your first session. Only at that point will you pay for the first hour (which is 100% guaranteed).

Where do the tutoring sessions take place?

We provide in-home tutoring, meaning the tutor comes directly to your house. We can meet at a library or coffee shop if you prefer and we also offer online tutoring sessions via secure video platforms for families who prefer a virtual environment.

How quickly can we be matched with a tutor?

We can often match students with a qualified local tutor within 24 hours. Sometimes, it will take longer. Our goal is to start support as quickly as possible, especially during midterms or finals.

Are your tutors background-checked and qualified?

Yes. Every tutor at In-Home Tutors undergoes a rigorous background check and an interview process to ensure they have both the subject matter expertise and the communication skills necessary to teach effectively.
