Fun and engaging summer tutoring programs away from the computer
As this year of virtual and hybrid schooling comes to an end, many parents are concerned that their children have fallen behind. Either because their learning styles don’t suit online teaching or maybe just because teachers have had to let their standards slip this year. Easier grading, less material covered. Academic milestones are not being met.
So, more than most summers, it’s important to plan activities to prevent the famous “summer slide.” We have competent tutors who can reverse any “Covid-19 Slide” and make up for some of what has been lost this school year. And we’ll do it in-person. No more Zoom School!
We always tailor our program to meet your needs:
- We can start with an assessment to see if your child is at grade level in reading and math and then put together a one-on-one program to fill in any skill gaps.
- We can also focus on enrichment. If you feel online work has not been sufficiently challenging for your child, we can create a program to reawaken your child’s love of learning.
- We have teachers who can put together week-long “boot camps” for one or more students to address any weaknesses in math or English Language Arts (or any other subject). Gather some neighbors or classmates for a cost-effective and fun summer schedule. A summer science lab, anyone?
